Elder Welling in Cali - PDAY

So, terrible news, i filmed a vlog last night basically what i would write in this letter, and it can't be sent. Kinda sucks. But overall this week was solid, we had a good amount of lessons and another noche de blanco. so things were good. Started off Monday for the festivo and just went to the church ate food then played some basketball....and a heads up, i am happy the heat won, Lebron is my favorite player, and is a freak of nature. But anyways, this week was good. Our lessons were good. We can improve somehow but idk what we need to do. Umm, this Saturday we had a noche de blanco. We were supposed to have 3 baptisms, but 2 fell through and didn't happened, it sucked!!! BUT THE NIGHT OVERALL WAS REALLY cool and fun. Sorry for the caps. Then Sunday morning we were supposed to have the other 2, but they didn't show up. depressing. yo se.

But yea, overall this week was really fun tho. I have 2 gringos as my zls, and let me say, i want a gringo companion when i know Spanish well. It seems so fun and everything, because it is the same culture. But yea, I am sweating right now as i am typing, which sucks. But yes, when we teach we try to teach by the spirit, which is crucial. But sometimes it doesn't happen, just always need to be humble and ready for whatever may come.

This week we had a a kid from the ward go with us a lot. He is going to go to the Paz Bolivia Mission, which should be dope. He is really cool, and leaves in 3 months. So ya, hopefully this week is good and filled with laughter, and mucho exito. So ya, love you all, miss you all, and i hope everything is great in the states.

 yo yo yo, so this transfer came and went and i am in................CALI Colombia!!!! THE SAME AREA, WHICH i am sooo stoked for, but i am with the same companion. He is not bad, we just don't always see eye to eye, and not to mention, i am not a big fan of peruvian spanish. But all is good. But i do have terrible news. My two gringoes that i came to Colombia with are now both in the Mission Medillin!!! :::((((( que triste. pero all is good, i know they were sent there for a reason. Elder Watts and Ashton. ambos se fue. This week was alright. Not too much happened. We had a fun party on Saturday for a kid in the barrio named Juan David Lasso. He opened his mission call, and is going to go to La Paz Bolivia! He is super stoked and was emotional about his call, because he is the first in 3 generations in his family to go on a mission! He is stoked and leaves in 3 months. Today is a festivo in Colombia, which is basically where nobody works and parties. They have at least 2 festivos every month. So, i am excited to be in normal cloths for once and CHill. As for Spanish, is it coming along, i still obviously need a bigger vocab and other things, but it is coming along. The Familia Brinez is teaching me how to talk like a  calino..which is coming along quite well. But yeah, weird my mission is now 1/4 finished and i will see yall next december. It is long, but it isn't long...just weird. haha But other than that, i am doing well and just working everyday. Love you all, i will send pictures next week. Love yall and miss yall too!!

Cali or Medillin Mission Week

hello family and friends,

This week was a struggle. We only had 8 lessons!! It was a ton of walking and not much work. It sucked, by far the hardest week in the mish. We had a ton of meetings fall through, ton of people were just going out of town and things like that. overall just a hard week. But i am not getting down on myself. Today we have our changes, so i will know tonioght if i will be in cali, or if i will be in medillin. <i want to stay in cali, because i love it, but i want to visit medillin also. mainly because i hear how beautiful it is. But cali is my home. The fam brinez is doing great, they say hi and send their saluds....i dont know how to spell it. but ya, not to much happened this week. We went to the zoo and that was fun. and i have pics...but.......i forgot my cord at the house...so ya. The weather is freaking hot here, it is summer now. i am also sweating and it is freakin humid, too. Everyday when i take off my shirt to shower, there is a brown line where my neck was...ewwww, also, i hate the tan line from the shirt. haha but things are good, i am having fun here in cali, and just working and working. and ya, going to work hard this week again, whether i am in medillin or cali......ahhhh Love you all, and sorry this email is lame, not much happened. But yeah, hope everything is great and you all are having great times. os amo.

Yo yo yo

ANother week down in Colombia! This week was solid. Started off on Monday when I purchased my first item from Colombia. But it is not Colombian, it is a Manchester United Scarf. I don't need it in Colombia. It is for when I return to Utah, and it will be freezing! haha its dope though. 

Then came Tuesday, it was a normal Tuesday. We had the normal district and zone mtg which was good, then a normal rest of the day. Then came Wednesday, we had our interviews with President Prince. It was awesome, only for about 10 minutes but really good. He asked how was our companionship, how we think this month will be for us. He was also telling us how we have been doing great, and our area is one of the best. Which was really good to hear. We have been working hard, and it is paying off. Oh, also we won the copa de encontrar...algo como eso. But we won for finding the most people in our area, and our zone was averaged the best in the Mission. Really sweet. 

Then this week we had a cool experience. We were walking in the street and saw a lady, but thought nothing of it. Then our meeting fell through with an investigator, and after my companion had the thought that we needed to contact her, so she did. Her eyes started watering immediately, and she said she had a feeling we were going to talk to her. She told her daughter that too. So then we chatted, gave the first lesson. She kept saying we are like the apostles of Christ..which is true, we are teaching His gospel, then saying we were sent from God to her. And it was just a really cool experience that we had with her. Really cool to see how different people are prepared. Really cool. 

Then what else, overalll just a cool, solid fun week. But I got into it with my older companion one time about how to start teaching and everything. But this week was good, I had fun. Today we are going to the zoo again.
